The Mandel & Lydon five-piece band will play a set of easy-going jazz to welcome for guests arriving for a meeting of the East Village's Neighborhood Preservation, a group of East Village residents determined to preserve the quiet ambience of the neighborhood. "We've been living in the East Village for over twenty years," says pianist-composer Ellen Mandel, and we love its homey atmosphere."
